Site Overview

The goal of this site is to provide resources to help preservice and inservice K-12 educators as well as teacher-educators and administrators integrate technology more effectively.

Best Practice Database: The database is searchable by grade level, subject and NETS-T standards. It provides links to case studies of K-12 teachers integrating technology, descriptions of evaluation methods, and articles about teaching with technology. Case studies were evaluated and selected using the NETS-T standards and national academic standards as guidelines for exemplary teaching. In order to make connections between educational theory and classroom practice, each case study was analyzed for dominant learning theories. In an effort to support not only teaching with technology but also assessment of learning with technology, both traditional and alternative evaluation methods are included in the database. Articles included were select based on the NETS-T standards as well as principles of good teaching described in the various national professional standards

Standards: Links to both academic and professional standards are included as resources. They are intended to provide guidelines and target for teachers, administrators, teacher-educators, students and parents about what students and teachers should know and be able to do.
