Teleconferencing in the ITC
Video Conferencing
The ITC uses a Polycom Viewstation for simple “Point-to-Point” video conferencing over an IP connection; the site on the other side must have a similar unit. The conferencing suite seats 10 occupants comfortably around a large conference table
The Teleconference suite is a service provided for the programs and departments affiliated with the College of Eductation at GSU. The ITC is happy to make the suite available to others within the University, but availability is based on staffing, technical requirements and the ITC facility schedule.
To discuss technical requirements and the suite’s availability, contact Sue Husted, Associate Director at 404-413-8081 or email her at shusted@gsu.edu.
Voice Conference
The ITC uses a Polycom SoundStation audio-conferencing telephone as
the hardware that establishes voice conferences over telephone lines.
The SoundStation enables you to speak naturally from 2 feet to 20 feet
away from the microphone, so those on the remote end of the call can
hear you clearly.
The Soundstation is located in Room 248. Please contact Sue Husted at shusted@gsu.edu for more information.
