As part of your Network Account, Georgia State University provides you with access to a modern, easy to use email system, funded by the Student Technology Fee.
You can login to your email at http://www.student.gsu.edu by entering your Network Account Username and Password in the space provided at the top of the page. If you haven’t already obtained your Username and Password, go to the Getting Started page.
Your Student Lockerbox is the a web-based access for Georgia State University student’s home directories. It is designed exclusively for GSU students and paid for by the Student Technology Fee.

To download files
Click on a filename and then right-click on it. A context-sensitive menu will
appear. Click Download... If you are asked whether you want to open or save
the file, select Save and then browse to the area on your computer's hard
disk where you would like to save the file.
To upload files
In your Lockerbox, browse to the destination directory where you would like
for your file to go. Pull down the FILE menu within your LockerBox and
select Upload. A new window will appear and select the Browse button. Find
the file on your local floppy/hard drive and the select the Upload button
to send to your NetStorage Area. At upload completion, your screen will refresh
and you should verify that your new file is listed. Closing the browser during
your file upload may affect data accuracy, so please verify your contents.
To rename files
Click on the filename and then right-click on it again. A context sensitive
menu will appear. Select Rename...and type a new name for the file. Hit
the Enter key on your keyboard when you are done and the file will be renamed.
To navigate folders within the Lockerbox
To browse between folders in your locker, single-click on the folder in the
left frame or double-click the folder if it is within the right frame. To
move "up" in the folder hierarchy (i.e. from Folder A to the folder that
contains Folder A), click the up-level folder icon in the menu bar.
To move a file from one folder to
another
Click the file and then right-click on it. Select Move. A message instructing
you to navigate to the correct folder should appear at the bottom of the page,
along with a "Paste" button. Use NetStorage to navigate to the folder where
you want the file to go and then click Paste. The file will be moved to the
correct location.
To copy a file from one folder
to another
Follow the "Move" instructions above but select "Copy" from the context-sensitive
menu instead.

Once created, the URL for your Web site will be in the following format: http://www.student.gsu.edu/~jdoe8 (where jdoe8 is your Username).
Once you have your Panther card, you can get and use your eTraining
(Element K) account.
eTraining is brought to you by UETS and powered by Element K. Since it is funded
by the Student Tech Fee it is FREE to Georgia State students who are eligble
to register and Georgia State University faculty and staff. Licensing requirements
allow one account per eligible person.
You access etraining at http://www.gsu.edu/~wwwwbt/ and click on Create and Acccount. Your username and password will be sent to your Georgia State email account within 24 hours. The same username and password should be used every time you access your eTraining account. You may not have duplicate accounts.
Element K courses are self-study courses that you can take anytime, anywhere over the internet or download to your local PC. There are approximately 400 courses in the following categories and topics:
As a student at Georgia State, you have access to a wide variety of library resources including GIL, a web-based online catalog of all the materials at the Georgia State University Libraries, and databases, including GALILEO, that provide access to thousands of journals online.

The ITC has a Reference Librarian on duty Mondays from 3 PM until 5 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until Noon.
The Instructional Technology Center (ITC) is designed for faculty, students, and Pre-K-12 educators to encourage and support technology confidence and expertise in the areas of teaching, collaboration, and consultation. One of several centers operated by the College of Education at Georgia State, the ITC offers a wide variety of services.
The ITC staffs and maintains an open computer lab (Room 200), 4 computer classrooms, 4 smart classrooms, a conferencing suite, a video studio and video & audio editing facilities.

The Instructional Technology Center makes available laptops, digital cameras (still and video) and some computer peripherals for check out.
Students (with faculty permission), Staff and Faculty can check equipment out for up to 3 business days. All check-outs require a valid GSU ID. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance and can be made by calling 651-3145 or emailing Candy Brunell at cbrunell@gsu.edu.
