Always do a Print Preview in whatever program
you are using, unless this option isn't available. This will help you make
sure you are printing the correct thing.
Close the print preview, and go to FILE-->PRINT. A window will pop up.
Make a mental note of which printer is selected. You want to make
sure you select a Black and White printer or Color on Paper printer
as appropriate for you job.
Click OK. Another window pops up.
Click on this window and type in a name for this print job. It can be anything
you like. Click OK.
Type in a password for your print job (again, anything you want). Click
OK.
Walk to the Print Release Station (the computer) next to the printer where
you sent your job.
Swipe your Student ID card in the card reader next to the printing station.
Select your job from the list of jobs on the screen. Click PRINT.
Type in the password you created for this print job. Click OK.
Your job should disappear from the list and the printer should begin processing
it.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
If
your password doesn't work, make sure that you are typing it in EXACTLY. Also
make sure that some idiot before you didn't leave the "CAPS LOCK"
key active on the keyboard. If you are one of the idiots who leaves
the "CAPS LOCK" key on, please take this opportunity to learn
how to type. We will all thank you for it.
Sometimes
you will get the message that your job is "too complex" or that
the "page count" didn't succeed. If this happens, try going back
to your computer and sending your print job to an alternate black and white
printer.
